Throughout our lives we live out our story. One that is uniquely ours, one that no one else on the planet will get to live. Your story is what makes you you. It’s what makes you unique, what makes you powerful, its the embodiment of the value you have simply because you exist. Taking the time to celebrate yourself, to freeze whatever season you’re in is what individual portraits are all about. You deserve to freeze this moment in your story. You deserve to be celebrated!

About three years ago I started doing a photo session each year around my birthday. It started when an idea came to be for a certain type of photo session and it just to happened to be around the time of my birthday and I thought to myself “I should make this a regular thing”. Let me tell you, it has been one of best and most fun decisions I have made for myself. It is so much fun to be able to look back on past birthdays, past years, past photo sessions and see who I was then. I feel proud of how far I have come, love for who I was then and now, and gratitude that I carved out that time to our into myself. To get my hair and make up done, to make a day out of it, to surround myself with people who are there to hype you up. You deserve to feel all of those things to! I will be your personal hype girl, we will make a night out of your session, play your favorite music, and have you leaving your session feeling like a million bucks. You get one life, celebrate yourself along the way.

All individual portrait sessions start with one hour of shoot time, one outfit, and 1 location.

Q:
WHAT DO WE DO IF IT RAINS? DO WE SCHEDULE ANOTHER DATE?
A:
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos or get their gown all wet so if it looks like it’s going to rain or some other weather catastrophe (Can I get a Florida rainy season anyone?), I’ll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
A:

WE LOVE YOUR WORK AND WE’RE READY TO BOOK! WHAT’S THE NEXT STEP?
A:
The sooner the better! My weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly – especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, I’ll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!
Q:
WE’RE AWKWARD AND don’t know what to do with our hands.. WILL OUR PHOTOS TURN OUT OKAY?
A:
Unless you’ve modeled professionally, you’re probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and I even get a little nervous when I am getting my photos taken.
You’re going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I guide you through poses, I think you’ll find that being photographed can actually be fun. Nobody that I photograph is a model and there is no possible way for you to “mess up” your images.
